Demonstrate knowledge of most letters of the alphabet in different contexts

At-Home Activities:

There is so much fun you can have with your child and the alphabet!

  • Make a letter journal.
  • Fold 6 pages of paper in half, then staple together along the "spine".
  • Write two letter per page, one at the top of the page, one about half the way down the page.
  • Go for a walk around your home, or in your neighbourhood with your child and a bag of crayons, drawing and labelling pictures of what you see on your walk. For example, if you see an ice cream truck, turn to the page of your book with the letter "i", write the words ice cream truck, and encourage your child to draw a picture of an ice cream truck.
