While Playing:

If you can, sit with your child while they play the Cosmic Bowling game. Playing with your child is a great way to nurture your relationship, and show them that you care about what they are interested in.

Ontario Curriculum Connections:

Cosmic Bowling helps teach your kids all about the constellations while they try to get strikes and spares with this fun bowling game!  This game meets many expectations in multiple grades, one of which is:

Science and Technology: Understanding Earth and Space Systems

Earth is part of a large interrelated sytem. Investigate characteristics of the sytems of which earth is part and the relationship between the earth, the sun and the moon.

At-Home Activities:
  • Make your own bowling set! All you have to do is gather 10 toilet paper or paper towel rolls. Decorate the rolls, and make them worth different points. Once you are done decorating, glue or tape a square piece of cardboard onto the bottom so that they will stand up without falling down. Use a tennis ball, or other ball that your child likes. Find a good spot for your bowling alley, and have a great time!
  • Constellations are really cool! On a clear night, go outside with your child, and see if you can spot different constellations like Orion's Belt, or the Big Dipper!
